Absolutely Ridiculous
To be beautiful or not give a single fuck. That is the question.

Comparison takes all of those confident thoughts you have about your body and your dreams and your overall happiness and covers them up until they choke on themselves.
Convinced that it was their own fault for their demise.

Because they weren’t skinny enough.
They’re smile was too crooked.
That career is too unstable.
The real world had no place for them or their flawed thinking.

Your confidence, your happiness, your life goes into a coma.
While Comparison stands over it, filling it’s IVs with poison, commonly known as Doubt.

Because as long as these things are crippled, Comparison will reign over your thoughts and actions.
You won’t be able to think for yourself or act on your own behalf anymore. You now need the permission of Comparison to be mediocre and lifeless.

As a society, we encourage girls and women to be emotionally accessible, and in touch with their feelings; we say that it’s an innately feminine trait. We say it, that is, until they have feelings that make us uncomfortable, at which point we recast them as melodramatic harpies, shrieking banshees, and basket cases.
